Exploring the Intersection of Art and Trauma
What Visitors Say About my work
It has been a pleasure to work with Steve since launching our Healthwatch Essex Expressions of Trauma touring exhibition in 2024.
The aim of the exhibition, as part of our commitment to trauma-focused practice, is to raise understanding, awareness, and empathy for trauma. Steve’s highly insightful works, which highlight the impact of childhood trauma, have been a focal part of the display.
Steve’s use of doll’s house furniture to create his scenes is innovative, and his striking use of colour and lighting not only draws the attention of the viewer but superbly sets the mood and tone in a manner that resonated deeply with people.
Feedback from the public on his works has been extremely positive, with many commenting on how incredibly well he conveys the intended sentiments and evokes thoughts and conversations about the subject matter.
Steve’s recent introduction of AI into his works has added an even more human dimension, and we are proud to feature this at the latest iteration of Expressions of Trauma.
